(His hearing was fine.)[/quote] I would do both because in my experience the wait times for school district evaluations are very long and geared towards providing as few services as possible. You usually have to be something like two standard deviations away from the mean in a single area of development to qualify for any services. Plus to qualify for continued summer services - which is when you’re looking at at this point- you usually need to prove regression. Not sure if it works this way for a documented disability. Anyway, get her assessed privately and start process for school district because it takes awhile[/quote]
