There are COVID anxious people everywhere that can’t let it go. They were anxious before and I truly think COVID really broke them. If ever your RE is dropping the mask (as REs are generally the most cautious of the cautious), then try to consider whether everyone else is wrong or perhaps you are.
If you have health issues and at risk, it's not anxiety. Be grateful for your health and stop being obnoxious.
If you were truly at-risk, you would know that the burden has been and always will be on you to protect yourself. Those families have always taken precautions, including correctly fitted N95s in healthcare settings, to keep safe. My uncle had a kidney transplant in the years ago and that’s how his family lived before COVID, and still live today. It is delusional to think that the entire world will keep living like at-risk people indefinitely. Which is why it’s a clear red flag that many people claiming at-risk are really just using that as an excuse to support a never ending public health emergency. If doctors office mandate that permits cloth masks makes you feel better, then yes, it’s about your mental health and not actual risk reduction.
