Supply and demand is exactly the problem. The FDA has placed limits on the amount that can be manufactured, but now more people have prescriptions and they haven’t increased the limit, so there isn’t enough to go around and a subset of people have to be without their prescribed medication at all times. They would never let this happen with a medication for a physical disorder, but since it’s just mental health/intellectual disability they don’t care. [/quote]

It's actually the DEA. They announced last week that they will not be increasing manufacturing quotas, despite the shortage, so this will not be getting any better any time soon. Time to try ritalin or concerta instead. [/quote]
