I've been doing at home haircuts for my pixie since 2020. It's looking pretty blah and I feel frumpy, but I don't want to spend real haircut prices for a technically improved version of the same cut, so I went on Pinterest. ...pixie mullets, you guys. This is the type of cut I feel like I spent my teenage years trying to avoid when I was growing out short hair. I hate hate hate it. This dates me, right? What kind of short cut can I get that looks cute and stylish that...isn't that? Or do I just accept that I will never be stylish again?
The answer to this is easy. Go to a salon. No, you are not going to find yourself a stylish haircut with your partner doing what you found on Pinterest at home with your length of hair.
Thanks but that isn't the answer because it wasn't the question! I said I don't want to go to a salon without a different style in mind because I don't want to wind up with a neater version of basically the same look. I've only ever been to one hairstylist who could take "do anything you want just make me look good" and do it, and that stylist is now 8 hours away. I'm looking for style ideas, not DIY advice.
