I have all sorts of “natural desires” I’d like to act on but don’t because to do so would be immoral. I’d like to sport around on my spouse; I’d like to drink to excess; I’d like to punch people in the nose; I’d like to take nice things without paying for them.  The ability to sublimate desire in favor of the will is what makes human beings more than barnyard animals.[/quote]

GTFOH - All the things you name above are impulsive behaviors and it is not the same and you know it.  Wanting to be in a loving relationship with another human being who you are sexually attracted to is an important part of adult life.

Yeah, I’ll say it: I have no problem with gay people. I tolerate gay people. I have gay co-workers whom I respect. However, I have personal moral beliefs that are in conflict gay people insofar as marriage is concerned. Seems to me the push used to be for tolerance which I totally believe in but now it is for total acceptance if not endorsing of other people’s relationships especially when it comes to religion. I suspect a great many other people feel the same way.
