Many top-tier colleges will give you credit for APs. I was told Harvard takes a 5, Good colleges take a 4, Ohio State takes a 3.[/quote] The issue with top tier schools is that they limit the number of total credits they will grant. If a kid comes in within 12 APs for example he is likely only to get credit for 4 total. Or May be offered option of placing out of an intro class but not get credit. [/quote]
