This is completely ridiculous. If you pay for the service, you should be allowed care no matter which time you arrive.  Lock the door? Are you kidding me? [b]That is also against fire code[/b]. [/quote]

A daycare that doesn't lock the doors is a huge red flag. The doors still open from the inside to the outside for emergencies, but baby-snatchers and active shooters can't get in.[/quote]

Not PP, but the door at our center is locked to the public, but we have. fob to get in. If we were locked out at all during the day this would be a red flag for us. We can show up anytime.[/quote]

It is one thing to say you need to drop off at 9am (the subject of this thread). It is another to say parents are not permitted to enter the daycare at all during the day. That is a licensing violation. Of course, parents should not make a habit of showing up randomly which is disruptive but they should be allowed inside on request. For some places this means having fob access. Others mean you knock on the door and they let you in.[/quote]
