I often patronize local bakeries and agree with you when it comes to cakes, pies, and pastries, as those are much harder to make at home and will never be as good as from a professional kitchen. I also think if you are hosting, it can be worth it to buy baked goods just to take the pressure off. But just cookies for my family to enjoy after dinner and for treats over a few days? Making chocolate chip cookies takes about 30 minutes of active labor. I will always go with homemade on that one.[/quote]
