Exactly (another adoptive mom here, how is single). Adoption does not alter the child or family, it is just an alternative way to form a family.

I would give the same gift you would give any young child/new mom.

If she does not have the child yet, watch clothes because sometimes you are not sure of the size. Other than that, it is nice that you want to help celebrate their joy.[/quote]
