It was a stunt. The story that is going around is that she was part of the group that attempted to enter the Capitol Visitirs Center, which is open to the public. They were told they could enter with flowers but not their signs, because protests/demonstrations are not permitted. They handed out some agitprop flyers about the “Jan6 political prisoners” and then chose confrontation, which they are free to do, snd to suffer the consequence. She’s not entitled to hold a “memorial” in the middle of Independence Avenue. The sidewalk adjacent to the Capitol grounds was barricaded for a reason snd she was given multiple opportunities to move herself to the sidewalk.

The woman isn’t grieving. She’s a loon with a political agenda who failed miserably at parenting. Her son might actually be worse than his sister.

I don't think you are reading our posts then. She can certainly block traffic and suffer the consequences.

Also, while i dont approve of blocking traffic as a protest tool, the situation was profoundly different. BLM protesters protested against deadly police violence against particularly black people (George Floyd is the most abhorrent example of a man that was suspected of passing a fake $20 bill, was unarmed, did not resist violently snd was slowly strangled to death just because a crooked police officer who was committing tax and residency fraud was on a powertrip, but there are tons or other egregious examples). Protests were all over and people were rightfully fed up because this is something that had been going on forever. The protest were Babbit’s mom was arrested was a group of loonies who had the guts to show up snd protest for their family members who, after losing an election fair snd square, decided to assault congress violently and prevent the democratic change of power. Like mohammed atta’s mom showed up to protest in NY on september  11, 2002 to remember her son who was such a nice person. These idiots should protest outside or Maralago, Ashly Babbit was so stupid to offer herself as cannon fodder for a loser. Or outside Murdock’s home or Tucker Carlson’s home or the homes of all those millionaire and billionairs who made $$$$$$$$$ with spreading lies to dimwits like Babbit. [/quote]
