No the government has been going against the will of the people. People want the guns off the street but republicans make sure that will never happen. This is years of republican policies that are soft on criminals and remove all accountability for police to actually do their job.[/quote]

How do you propose they do that?
It has been illegal for felons to own guns for many years. 
They cant just get a list of felons and start searching all their homes.
