My endo. I have PCOS (pre-pregnancy) and hypothyroid (likely developed during/after pregnancy) but it also runs in my family. Ive done metformin before and tried Trulicity 1.5 years ago. My thyroid levels are optimal but I still have issues losing weight- even with exercise and CICO/macros. It's been a 4-year struggle and everyone told me (including doctors) that it was because of breastfeeding and my body was holding onto weight so even after 2 years post-nursing I was still having the same problems AND my weight went up. My insurance is covering it with a PA. I just filled the last of the 3 mo coupon for $25 and next time I pick up it will be $65 (cost per insurance website). I started in late October and I am down 20lbs in 9 weeks. I had 2 weeks of no weight loss because I changed to injecting into my thigh, which apparently doesnt work for me. Went back to stomach and back to 2-3lbs per week. For me personally, I still experience stalls during my period but I dont gain weight and then it drops a few days after- just keep that in mind and dont get discouraged by small changes or stalls. I have to balance nausea symptoms because I actually eat more when I am nauseous likely due to hypoglycemia, which I also had a lot of during pregnancy. So I wont titrate my dose further unless I stop losing weight for a month or two.
