I'm an oncologist with a kindergartner.  If school is canceled for no reason last minute, it means I have to cancel and reschedule 18 patients, several with chemo sessions.  So it might be greatly welcome to school staff to cancel what is considered to be a pointless day of school, but it causes havoc and can be really frustrating for others.  Our hospitals are already understaffed as is during this incredibly busy season.  [/quote]
