Do you have anything to say about the content of the article? Nothing? Then your attempts to defame this guy as a NIMBY are nothing short of gaslighting.
gaslighting: psychological manipulation of a person usually over an extended period of time that causes the victim to question the validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories and typically leads to confusion, loss of confidence and self-esteem, uncertainty of one's emotional or mental stability, and a dependency on the perpetrator
What you wrote is completely false. From the quotes in the article: - In an interview, she said she has found Slover’s questions about the agency “useful” but that his “style and tone” have helped create “what I would describe as a very hostile and toxic environment” on the board. “Mr. Slover is frankly very bullying,” Donald said. “The line of questions at board meetings is very condescending, a lot of grandstanding, and often seems to be designed to make points rather than to elicit information.” “It’s persistent and consistent and it’s actually very disheartening for me and my staff,” she said. Anyone who has dealt with him would make this statement More -Dionne Bussey-Reeder, who said in a text message that “he never wants to work in unison as a board to accomplish the real work.” Guy in comment section on Wash Post I have served on the boards of many organizations with productive board and challenging missions. Mr. Slover is NOT an effective board member trying to solve issues and advance the mission of the organization. He is disruptive, entitled and condescending while using his platform to advance his own ego. Effective board leadership requires constructive engagement, not flame throwing. No successful business would tolerate his behavior. All of the above statements only reinforces what many in the Palisades think of him. Everyone in this thread thinks Bill is probably accurate regarding house Everyone who has dealt with him in the Palisades or in any other unfortunate situation knows what everyone has said about him is true. So how is that gaslighting/
