There's an adjustment period.  If you're very goal driven, I think its more of an adjustment.  What I realized is that for the first time in my life, I get do decide how to spend my time.  Prior to retirement, life was driven by school, work, chores, house maintenance, and family obligations.

Spend time daydreaming about what you want in retirement and then make it happen.[/quote]
