Really, I thought about putting this in the other thread about books others like but I didn't. When I was reading it initially I think I was sold it as a fantasy and I didn't see that aspect. This was the problem. I'm coming off reading like a dozen fantasy series over a course of years, we're talking somewhere near 400 books, so I'm totally into the Fantasy genre. So out of nowhere somebody comes up and says "you would like this". So I just immediately think that I would like it because its fantasy. Then I start reading and I'm like where is the fantasy element? I had read other books like Kite Runner and some other best sellers and maybe they were going off that, but based on my reading list I was just assuming it was fantasy. [/quote]
