I struggle with this too. I'm 5 ft 6 and a half and the ankle cut ends up a little short on me which doesn't matter much in warm weather, but is so annoying in cold weather.

If I buy talls, the whole fit is off, having them hemmed isn't enough.

If I do skinny with tall boots, apparently that's no longer stylish or screams millennial or something?

I think I'm going to go back to the flare legs I wore in the 90s given they are supposedly in style anyway. Then you can wear pants down to your foot and also then not have weird amounts of boot shaft showing. [/quote]
