To be fair, one of the cats had tremendous litter box issues that couldn't be fixed, and the stress of having him pee all over our house and having to cover all furniture in the living room and other areas that didn't have closeable doors with shower curtains didn't help. And our other cat refused to use any kind of scratching post and destroyed all our furniture. Those stresses on top of kid stresses definitely affected my feelings toward the cats. [/quote]
