what things do you consider to part of raising a child Catholic? DH and I are currently separated, and they are with me most of the time. DH is Catholic, and our custody agreement specifies that I will raise the kids as observant Catholics. So, I'm wondering, what other reasonable Catholic people would think meets the definition. I should note that DH's favorite hobby is threatening to file for contempt for minor things. So, I'm trying to get some other opinions on what's reasonable.
Attend Mass. Attend Religious Ed classes until confirmed or 14. We prayed together. At a young age just grace before meals and a goodnight prayer. In ES, we add a chaplet of the Rosary once a week. Charitable giving and corporal acts of Mercy. Abstaining from meat on Fridays in Lent.
