NP here but I watched 16 & Pregnant from the beginning and continued with both Teen Mom shows until they got really horrible a couple years ago. Around when they had to kick Jenelle off and then they added a bunch of randos. I’m as GenX as they come (I’m 49) and watch less reality TV than almost anyone I know - never have watched Survivor, the Amazing Race, any Housewives anything. But I was pregnant with my second kid at the same time as Maci, the first 16&P/Teen Mom and I thought it would be interesting to watch in that context. 16 & Pregnant was a really good documentary-style show that I think did a great job of representing what teen pregnancy can really be like. The Teen Mom continuation was trashy but at that point I wanted to see what happened.[/quote]
