As one of the Columbus natives on this thread, I'd say dig deeper. Most people on DCUM live closer in and therefore value different things. We are in Arlington with a small yard but lots of parks, good schools and plenty of local non-chain restaurants and shops. I would never want to live out in Ashburn or Rockville or Dublin Ohio, but clearly people who live there love it. Similarly, someone living on Capitol Hill would never want my Arlington neighborhood.
