Besides bathroom habits, what else could cause a recurring bacterial infection? DS has this same issue and I’ve been making sure he has good hand washing, and I’ve washed sheets, blankets, and stuffed animals, etc.
Some kids are colonized with staph/strep in their noses, which can cause repeated impetigo, strep throat, etc. Not as much data for pink eye, but if he is getting pink eye repeatedly with good hygiene, I would ask your ped about trying a course of nasal mupirocin. I’ve seen it used mostly for strep throat and impetigo and not bacterial conjunctivitis, but the theory is the same. You can also add an antibacterial face wash to the routine.
