I don’t understand why people stuff themselves on thanksgiving. I could understand someone poor doing it several hundred years ago when it was the one day of the year you could indulge. But in this day and age I just don’t get it. Can’t people enjoy being with their families without overindulging?
Beyond the fact that this is a dumb comment; it was inside the last 100 years when people in my family barely had enough food to survive. I’m not alone in that. It’s one day. My plan is to go turkey trotting for five miles. I’m then going to swim off the leg soreness and proceed to drink a ton of beer and wine and eat a lot of decadent food. This will have ZERO affect on my weight or my fitness.
