[quote=Anonymous]i have the MB and the pencil face sticks. once i figured out my routine, i do kind of like them. I am 40. the skin on my face is very dry. for a very long time, i would rock bobbi brown BB cream and then set it all down with laura mercier powder. but then around 37 i noticed it would gather in my teeny tiny crowns feet and lines. when i would be photographed, i would always look dry and flaky. what i like about MB is that my skin always looks dewy. the coverage is very minimal, like a BB cream. i love that the face pencils mean i can customize my color blend, not all of my face is the same color. Once i figured out my application process, i did begin to like it. i wore it in the summer and the winter. in the summer, i would apply a sunscreen, but no moisturizer since the MB is so moisturizing. in the winter, i will moisturize. then i will use this as a primer: https://mally.com/products/poreless-face-defender-primer-perfector?_pos=3&_sid=155e734ff&_ss=r then i apply the MB. then the face pencils. i start to blend with my finger to get it all warm and blended. then i go back and blend again with a beauty sponge. no need to set with powder! (which would always just settle into my fine lines and make it worse). i do the rest of my eyes and add cheek color. let things warm on my face for about 10 minutes, then i got in and blot up the excess oil with blotting papers. i will carry the blotting papers with me and touch up during the day. someone mentioned their eyeshadow and i can concur, its really great stuff. better than urban decay. i like their blush as well. it was a journey to like MB, mainly driven by my investment. someone mentioned the smell. they are right, its a little different. the greasiness was off putting, until i figure out how to apply it for my face. i am curious about their WTF. have not had to buy. what else do women over 40 with dry skin use as foundation? i am totally adverse to setting anything with a powder ever again. im like 50/50 on it. mainly bc i do love how dewy and fresh my skin looks. but if there was something more like the foundations i used in my 20s, i might be tempted to go back to that.
