When Macys bought out many department stores nationwide, they acquired Marshall Fields and started selling Frangos in their stores. The old Marshall Fields on State St in downtown Chicago had a huge candy section in the basement.[/quote] Close, but they were originally made for Frederick & Nelson’s, a Seattle department store—hence the name (Frangos).
