Hope he isn't penalized by Admissions Offices.[/quote] I would think if the quality of your student’s essay aligns with their grades and with the rigor of their coursework, as well as being commensurate with their test scores, it wouldn’t raise any red flags. It’s the kids taking standard English classes with mediocre SAT scores who seem “off” when they turn in a polished essay, complete with complex sentence structure and nuanced vocabulary. [/quote]
