+a million. My BIL, a man who had grown up around guns and owned several, killed himself with a gun while waiting for a mental health appointment. I suppose he could have killed himself in a different way, but there's nothing faster and more efficient than a gun pointed to your brain.[/quote]

I'm the pp, and I sadly have an extended family member who SURVIVED putting a gun in his mouth and pulling the trigger. No idea HOW that was survivable...or how you go on after that. Haven't seen this family member in over 10 years and I'm just very sorry for the immediate family who now deal with the consequences every damn day.

But yes, easy access to a gun makes suicide attempts particularly lethal.[/quote]
