Both. It can help regrow hair.  I have completely bare temples and I’m starting to see a few real hairs coming back after 6 months of spiro. The hair takes years and many growth cycles to miniaturize, so it will take years and many growth cycles for them to become thicker hairs again too. [/quote]

DP.  I didn't realize spiro is supposed to help with hair growth?  I've been taking it for years for adult acne and my once very thick hair is now extremely thin.  I attributed the hair loss to aging and hormones but now I wonder if the spiro has caused it?[/quote]

Maybe not all hair loss but mine is caused by excess testosterone from PCOS, hence the male pattern loss. Spiro blocks testosterone. So I guess theoretically you could have the opposite problem where low testosterone is causing diffuse thinning, but I really have no idea. [/quote]
