A small child does not need to wear a suit to a wedding. OP, you also don't indicate whether the child is part of the wedding party or just a guest. If wedding party, then I would think that bride and groom would have given instructions on attire. If just a guest, dress pants and button-down shirt are more than fine. It is a CHILD.[/quote]
