Honestly I don't think it's just that they profited from him. Nobody, absolutely nobody can force an addict to get help. They may have spoken with him. Sure they could have fired him or given him an ultimatum and he might have sued. Vindictive narcissistic addicts are the worst because they will ruin YOUR life before they get help. They will threaten you. They will hire lawyers. This way more complex then a bunch of people enabling him to profit. Even his wife and Sarah admit he was highly vindictive and narcissistic.

My mother is like him. She made my life a living hell for trying to get help. My siblings who went along with her are showered with handouts and kindness. She still tries to undermine me even as former sycophants are running away from her. Nobody wants to poke a hornet's nest.[/quote]
