I will miss Kate, Aidy and especially Pete and Kyle since in my humble opinion they were the show. However I personally think that it was too early for Pete to leave since he is not very established yet. He did experience a popularity surge while dating Kim K. which may have bolstered his ego a bit at the time but his departure was a tad premature. Kyle was one of my faves. While Baby Yoda wasn’t exactly hilarious, Kyle’s comedic talent was always on point. SNL will still be funny w/Kenan, Bowen & co. I will still tune in. Where is Pete hiding? Since news broke of his break up last month he has been MIA. I saw Bodies, Bodies Bodies which was not very good,
Pete was hardly ever on and added nothing to the show. He’s not funny.
THIS. I don't know what his appeal is. He is simply not funny - at all.
I have to strongly disagree with this. Pete Davidson may not have done too well in the comedy sketches (I admit, the dude is always breaking character) = but his musical segments have been amazing! He did a fantastic music video of Eminem’s “Stan” last winter. He killed it! Also his “Squid Game” video with Rami Malek was hilarious and just overall epic. I do not see how he was not nominated for an Emmy!!? I always looked forward to his musical segments on SNL and have doubt that anyone (maybe Redd?) can match Pete’s talent on that front. Personally I feel Pete left the show prematurely. I don’t know what he has left to fall back on career-wise. I think last summer he probably thought that he and Kim Kardashian would be together for a long long time which would have made him an A-list celebrity. And I admit his fame rose hugely while dating her - people who never heard of him the yr prior suddenly knew who he was. And he had more movie roles, etc. Bodies, Bodies, Bodies was not very good and he isn’t known as a brilliant movie actor. He raps occasionally but not at the level he can make a living off of it. Sure he HAS modeled for Calvin Klein. But ever since Kim K. left him he has been off the Hollywood radar. And people have short attention spans. To stay relevant he should have stayed on SNL a few more seasons.
