+1 University of Rochester is UNDERRATED. I’m an alum.

Serious academics, great campus life, students who are well rounded and relatively lower key. U of R is particularly good if you want to go to an elite grad program after.  That said I wouldn’t choose it if a) grad school wasn’t on the horizon or b) you don’t plan to live in NY State or adjacent. It’s not as well known and the name throws people off. (They should have named it Eastman University when they had the chance…)

I can’t think of one classmate who doesn’t have a successful professional career. Lots of PHDs, MDs, JDs, MBA Wall Street types, engineers, politicians, entrepreneurs etc. I always feel like the dumb one for ONLY having a Masters and a regular business-y job. [/quote]
