He's guilty. His cell phone placed him near Lee's body. He was unable to account for his whereabouts when Lee was missing. Jay testified that he helped Syed hide the body. The biggest argument from Syed defenders is that Jay is "shady." Well guess what? A lot of witnesses in criminal trials are "shady" because they did criminal things and knew criminals. Syed is guilty. I invite anyone to read the original trial transcripts. No trial is perfect but there was no reversible error. The recent MD appeals court decision explained this well.
Shady people are not trustworthy people. I think he was lying. Because he’s shady.
NEWSFALSH: All murder accomplices are shady. That is why you need to collaborate their information with other evidence. Jay lied and Adnan is a killer. Both of these things are rather obvious if you research beyond what Serial and Undisclosed (both podcasts created to introduce doubt by obscuring timelines and evidence). You see it here about the coversheet. I forget the detail now but there was never an issue with the way the investigation used the cell phone data. This coversheet is one of the numerous examples of red herrings introduced to trick people into thinking this case was complex.
