I've recently began going to Aldi. I'm really liking what I see there. Their breads are significantly less expensive, as are a lot of products. I've found their produce very fresh. For example, their spring onions are half the price of major large grocery stores, and stay fresh a lot longer.
This is so weird, I have gone to Aldi maybe 5 times and at each visit every single box of berries had mold in it. Every single one. And their other produce looked gross as well.
I think there must be great Aldi's and trash Aldi's. Unfortunately the one I've tried a couple of times in Silver Spring is the latter, so I'm always confused when people sing the praises of Aldi produce on here. But I'd love to shop at a great one if it were convenient - I love a bargain!
Aldi in silver spring gets cleared out of produce and milk on delivery days. Lots of lower income people come who need the extra savings. Its neger good on a random wed evening.
