There is some question as to whether being on it long enough (like three years or more) may allow the body to adjust to a new lower set point weight, but we don’t know. It’s best to assume as a weight loss medication this is a lifelong drug. This is why it is extremely short sighted for those who are seeking it out looking to lose 10-30 pounds. Just not worth it.
