DC has normalized crime. And then someone helps themself to your dog AND kills it because they are the same kind of ass-hat that unthinkingly jumps a turnstyle or helps themself to chips at CVS. Stupid is as stupid does, bit there is a sociopathy underlying it that the city is unwilling to address. People like you consider violation in degrees. Violation is violation. There are different penalties by degree, but currently people waltz around doing...whatever. Including dognapping and killing Horrible. We are 5 steps away from the express kidnappings of loved one in Mexico. And yes, I WILL move from the city and join the 'pearl clutchers. F this. I love my kids and dogs.[/quote]

There is a silent agreement in our "society" or among our politicians that these are anger issues that are caused by injustice/inequity.   Those unhinged or fearless enough to let their anger out upon peaceful citizens are victims deserving compassion and not criminals.  The price to pay to allow them to "heal" through unleashing violence and letting it all out, is occasional deaths and injuries of random innocent people.  This is the world we live in, get used to it.[/quote]
