What does this statement mean about Pride 23? “They had a small number of D1 commits, but that group had the highest average rank of college lacrosse teams among local clubs.“
It’s cherry picking - those Cap Blue 23s who chose high academics could have gone to much higher ranked lax programs if they wanted. They were turning down lots of offers and official invite requests after Sept 1 from those schools in favor of better academic options.
Clearly the definition of cherry picking is lost on you. The poster clearly stated Pride had a small number of commits. Their comment is based on all commits from all clubs. Not picking and choosing which they wanted to include.
“Cherry picking: the action or practice of choosing and taking only the most beneficial or profitable items, opportunities, etc., from what is available.“ The exact definition of what you’re doing.
I can’t see two many girls on metro getting calls. Sorry Hmmm...so what recruits were selectively chosen? The reference is to an entire group of D1 commits from each club. Of those who committed to play D1 Pride (a small group, but all inclusive) had players commit to the highest ranked lacrosse programs. That was the statement. If the statement had been about Capital Blue clearly this group had the largest number of D1 commits and leaned towards higher academics. There is no right or wrong answer. Nothing more than noting an interesting stat from a club that offered no help to their players. The prediction asked for really is more about a question...can Pride continue placing players with quality lacrosse programs and can the club increase its commit numbers with their new recruiting director.
The original question didn’t single out any specific club. You seem to be the only one making this about pride. If you want to cherry pick stats, would it also be true to say Cap Blue 23 sent the highest number of players (7) to top 20 lax programs than any other DMV club?
If you follow the string you will see someone, probably you, specifically singled out Pride out of comments made about CLC, Pride and VA Metro. So, you seem to be making it about Pride. No one else.

Um … hardly. You keep focusing on Pride. Lighten up Francis. We get it. You want people to think Pride is sending kids to better lax schools. Facts prove otherwise.
What is your obsession with knocking Pride? No one said anything about Pride sending kids to better schools. The comment was simple, the few who are going D1 are going to higher ranked teams, on average. This is a fact. Why you are so obsessed with this is puzzling. Not sure if your are a CLC parent who just doesn’t want to acknowledge anything good about Pride or if you are a CLC director who doesn’t want any positive press for Pride. Either way it’s sad. But YOU keep bringing this club up, no one else. No one has made any comments knocking your precious Capital B team.
What is your obsession with promoting Pride’s precious D1 recruiting performance? The comment was simple. CLC Blue 23 sent 7 players to top 20 programs. YOU keep raising the odd average Pride D1 stat that no one (other than YOU) seems to care about.
