I'm going to assume the PPs have kids in "good" schools. Am I right? I would assume most vacancies would either be in lower performing schools, schools with a higher percentage of low income students and/or schools with psycho admin.
Wrong assumption. Our Title 1 school has been fully staffed all summer.
+ 1 - our Title I ES had very few teachers leave and fully staffed early in the summer. - PP - don't know why you would make that assumption - many teachers are intrinsically motivated to work in high FARMs schools, while others prefer high SES schools - different experiences - same way some teachers want to teach AAP, while others run away from it. Absolutely agree with your point about bad admin though - this is typically the factor that drives satisfaction/vacancies.
None of the teachers at my Title 1 school wanted to work there when they were originally hired but we’ve all come to love it there. We rarely have vacancies except for this year.
