[/quote] Nanny of 25 years here - None of the kids I’ve worked with from newborn to toddler were screamers. We (the parents and I) nipped that in the bud right away. When you scream, you are ignored, and don’t get what you want. Screaming for what you want is learned behaviour, from positive reinforcement. I know DCUM hates nannies and thinks we are all morons, so go ahead and pile on, but no, not all 18 month olds are screamers. [/quote] They're not all screamers, but ignoring doesn't always work.
