Whether you agree with the sentiment or not, a teacher who would say something like this should not be a teacher.  She has no idea what political party the parents may belong to and it is NOT her business to be criticizing her [b]pupils[/b] parents.  I'm left-leaning and I still think what t his teacher did was egregious and if my child was in her class, I'd be rather irritated and would complain to the principal.  No child should have to spend a school year in a classroom with a [b]teacher would be stereotype[/b] and castigate their parents just for the political party they belong to.
