Carrots are considered high carb?
Veggies that grow below ground are usually more high carb than veggies that grow above ground, but carrots are on the low end in that group. I suggest you look at this website and scroll down to the visual low-carb guide ... https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb this is the visual guide to veggies: https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb There are visual guides for fruit, dairy, meats, nuts, etc. Useful!! Mark's Daily apple, like Atkins, suggests that you jumpstart your weight loss with a low carb diet (<50 g/day) and then maybe raise it to 50-100 g/day. Maintenance they suggest 100-150 g/day. Being a short woman, I stick to the low end of those ranges, which can be a challenge (really very little fruit can be included in your diet), but seems to be effective. I had a weight surge this year, because I got sloppy and started eating bread again after not eating it for many years. So I just reset and am down about 5 pounds and fitting into my shorts. Now to fit into my small shorts!! A couple more months and I will ... but it will be November by then and I'll be pulling out the big sweaters.
