It’s not about you!!  I cannot imagine what goes through your head. One of my grandchildren looks just like my child (this even feels bazaar to type) and I feel JOY.  PURE JOY. I feel joyful that my child will experience such joy.  Memories and longings….you have been given the gift of making memories as a grandmother. Is there anything better?  Longings.  Pick up that baby and feel that love. [/quote]

Chill, grandma. The poster is describing an instinctive feeling she had and the emotions it invoked in her. It's great that you had a different instinctive feeling and a different emotion. It's ridiculous to attack people for feeling differently than you.

+1. I don’t think “pure joy granny” is as loving and happy as she thinks.  She just attacked another grandmother who was trying to empathize with grieving parents and share insight.  [/quote]
