Franchot, because a progressive may swing voters to a Republican in the general.
Blair, because he's a manager and we need that.  He's not anti-development, and we need that.   He will bring more jobs to the county, and we need that.

I also voted for Glass and Sayles.   Glass because he cares.   Sayles because she's upcounty.

O'Malley for Attorney General because she has a clue.

Max Uy for Sheriff because he's great.  Very much a continuation of the culture of the current Sheriff's office, which is fantastic.

Tom DeGonia for State's Attorney.  To modernize prosecutions, better track data, care about racially disproportionate case outcomes caused by the State's Attorney (they can't control external factors), but to also work with police to ensure the truly bad guys don't get let out for no reason.[/quote]
I did all of these, too except I picked Brown over O’Malley. I was torn - they’re both smart and experienced IMO - and all other things being equal I usually go for DC suburbs over Baltimore.[/quote]

Brown is smart, but he is one of the most incompetent state-level elected officials Maryland has had in the last 20 years.

In addition to what PP said, his term as Lt Governor was probably the biggest statewide debacle in recent memory.[/quote]
