OP, I'd expect another tuition raise. Even a 3-4% raise is a big jump when you are looking at high 80s. Soon it will be normal for schools to be in the 90,000+ range all in. Yes, college applications are expensive. My kid applied to 12 schools and did get into a couple of T30s. Got waitlisted to a few T10s. My younger kid is not getting into a T30. I think it is fine to discourage kids to apply to a ton of reach schools that they can't get into (or pay for!).[/quote]
