My younger sister isn't particularly bossy, but she interrupts me (and other people) a lot. It is super annoying. We were recently interviewing people to help care for our mom and she couldn't even let the interviewees answer questions before jumping in to answer the questions herself. It was unreal and completely unhelpful. I've wondered if there is some kind of older/younger sister dynamic at play here. She definitely thinks she knows best in certain things so when it doesn't impact me I just let it slide because maybe I was the older sister who was always right because I was older. I mean I did learn to read before her simply because I was older. Who knows. Family relationships can be tricky and we've both had more than our fair share of challenges as kids (dysfunctional parents and family). She married and had kids first. I got a graduate degree and worked for a long time before becoming a SAHP. She is a DIY queen and definitely has some skills I don't. The opposite is true also.
My younger sister interrupts a lot too. I think what's happening with her is she sort of stops listening to what others are saying, starts thinking her own thoughts instead of listening, and then thinks of something to say and just says it because she no longer realizes someone else is talking. Usually she is apologetic if she realizes she interrupted, but not always.
My sister is completely unaware that she interrupts. But it makes sense if she stops listening that she would have no idea she'd doing this! Ha ha.
