Judging by their comments at the community updates the past couple years, they are absolutely not fine with it. However, the option which MCPS ultimately selected and is proceeding with is one that removes fewer trees than several others that were under consideration.[/quote]

The Edson forest has a lot of advocates.  There were not as many vociferous preservationists for the other trees. [/quote]
