There is not one person in existence that was ready to support DC statehood but will now change their mind because a DC Council Member supports allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections. Ten different cities and towns in Maryland allow such voting. Do you propose to take away Maryland's statehood? New York City allows such voting. Should New Yorkers lose statehood? [/quote]
