I mean, my parents took me on big trips from when I was a tiny infant, but I don’t truly remember any of them until I was 7 at the earliest. It’s for you, not them, really. You’re not absorbing culture as a 4 year old on a two week trip to Greece.[/quote]

DP but the main reason I bring my kids is I don’t want to give up spending time with my kids or traveling. Sure traveling with kids is different but it has it’s own rewards— finding playgrounds in foreign countries, or locals doting on small children. I know my kids won’t necessarily have memories but we will.  I’m not bringing them so they will “absorb the culture” (although I do think if you travel frequently with them they will be better travelers overall). [/quote]
