I'm not aware of any Honors Algebra 1 nor an honors Foreign Language 1, no honors first level art or tech class.

For current freshmen, the Middle School grades only get calculated into the GPA when it helps.  So, if the student did all Honors/Magnet/AP classes this year, and got As in all of them the high school 5.0 would not include the MS grades.  [/quote]

No magnet student takes Algebra 1 or Lang 1 as a freshman. It was required by my kid’s program that he had at least Algebra 1 and Language 1 completed in HS to apply.  He had 3 years of language in middle school. I was calculating his freshman GPA only.  [/quote]
