They are also pretty lame about identifying close contacts and don't try that hard.  In elementary, they just tell the kids who sit at the positive kid's table.  My middle school kid sat right next to a friend in class who was positive and we were never called.[/quote]

Our kindergartener is a master at catching colds that require a PCR test before she can return because of covid-like symptoms.  Plan for lots of days out.[/quote]
So your kid catches a cold, you give a rapid test that comes out negative... and you tell the school about this?  Why?  You aren't required to report this.

Yeah I’m confused about this. Classes are still requesting proof of being Covid negative when cold symptoms are present ? District wide or teacher by teacher ?

Why is this confusing? If you have a fever, cough, stomach discomfort, etc you are supposed to fill out the screener questionnaire. Most likely you get flagged to go get a rapid test. [/quote]
Yes, we are aware of the screener.  [u][b]The completely optional and not required screener.[/b][/u]  Keep filling it out for every sniffle and you will continue to keep your kid out of school for days while you await a PCR result.[/quote]

Please keep up. I've always gotten PCR results in 24 hours or less without even signing up for expedited.

Also - the school will see that your child is sick and will send them home and require testing. You will be the a** who sent your kid to school sick. Doesn't make you look very good to the school. [/quote]
